Introduction to

Art du Déplacement / Parkour

By MOVE Academy Singapore

Rediscover the joy of movementat MOVE Academy Singapore. Based on the roots of Art du Déplacement and Parkour,  you will build a strong body, mind and spirit through movement.

Art du Déplacement (ADD) is French for "the art of movement". ADD was born in the suburbs of Paris during the late 1990s, amongst a group of young people connected by friendship and family. At first they played together with tests of their strength and agility. Over time, in a spirit of mutual encouragement and emulation to grow stronger and go further beyond their limits, they developed a rigorous training system of specific exercises and targeted techniques to prepare themselves for feats requiring increasingly higher levels of physical and mental mastery. As time went on, the group divided over different interests and three related threads of the discipline emerged — ADD, Freerunning, and Parkour.

MOVE Academy Singapore  aims to make ADD accessible to everyone. The academy’s curriculum is based on an innovative training programme that uses body weight training for applications in movement — running, climbing, jumping and vaulting, among many other techniques adapted to all levels of fitness, regardless of background, age and gender.

In this trial, you'll be joining an existing class with 5-7 other older adults (in their 50s and 60s), to train with them and be inspired!
