Ai Lin graduated with a Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Edith Cowan University. She is also a certified Pilates Instructor with over 18 years of experience teaching exercise to people from all walks of fitness. In addition she is a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Senior Fitness Specialist with international organizations.
She is a passionate advocate for the Pilates Method of exercise and integrates this method into many of her exercise programs, having seen it benefit and improve core strength, movement quality and function. She is a strong advocate for exercising into one’s silver years and has been involved in falls prevention and strength conditioning for seniors, and hopes to be able to share and touch lives through her work.
Workshop objective: to introduce and share information on the Pilates Method, and its central principles. The workshop will utilise small props for feedback, balance enhancement and to increase connectivity in the body. In addition, the workshop will teach good breathing mechanics, all through a fun and interactive experiential class. At the end of the workshop, you would have learnt more about how to sit, stand and move in a more efficient manner, and appreciate the benefits of Pilates for connecting breath and core.
The 60-mins workshop will be broken into a 10-mins presentation to introduce to Pilates and 45-mins practical session (5-mins buffer for Q&A inbetween). Hence, come in your comfortable attire for the practical session.
